Sanny | Elemental music label - Artist

DJ Sanny first came in contact with the electronic dance music somehow about the year 1997 when he used to listen to radio programmes playing this genre on local radio stations. Thanks to the magazine about former dance scene Tripmag, music server techno.cz and atmosphere of the first party he fell in love with the vinyls. As a student he could not afford to buy his own decks so he trained the technique of mixing on his computer, later he borrowed his first decks. He regularly attended parties in whole Czech Republic during that time and learnt more about house music played by the pioneers of the Czech and Slovak dance scene like Martin Haberland, Loutka or Pavel Bidlo. The final decision to be a house DJ was made after the performance of Czech DJ Fun in 2003 which is still unforgettable experience for him. After meeting the former techno.cz editor Mellow and web owner Dan Kafka he got a chance to launch a project called sever.techno.cz. This website officially started in autumn 2003 and launching party „First Contact“ in a club Liquid in Liberec was the first Sanny..s public performance. At that time he used to play mainly techno and minimal also because of the friendship with Daho and Ginger, vinylshop Nula2 owners. Together with them he held some parties in Liberec and Turnov, e.g. one gig within the scope of Elektrabel Tour or a regular party called „Night shift“ in a popular club Escape. In the 2004 he invited DJ Fun to a party in a small familiar place and at that moment the friendship which has still lasted began. Thanks to this influence we can find in his DJ bag vinyls from Miguel Migs, Jay-J, Timewriter, Chuck Love, Johnny Fiasco, Fred Everything and many others. In 2006 he was a guest together with DJ Stifler in a DJ radio show Techno.cz in da mix on radio Akropolis and in the years 2007 and 2008 he was a resident of the night Deep in the funk in a club Turn off in Turnov. Sanny is currently resident of Josebar in Ústí nad Labem. The highest peak of his career was playing in two legendary Prague clubs – at the party Climax in Roxy and at Lollypop in Radost FX.. The sound which he nowadays represents he himself specifies as a melodic funky deephouse, but he also doesn..t refuse some other, slightly harder branches of this style. Besides Tractor Scratch Sanny still uses vinyls during his show.
